He is currently working at velv as a Software Security Architect & Tech Lead, where he is responsible for developing and deploying secure infrastructures in the cloud using Docker. Additionally, he is responsible for the security architecture of a cloud-based management system in Java. Jorge has a special interest in Information Security and has developed several projects protecting web applications and systems. He is specialized in database integration security and has a wealth of experience in GDPR/RGPD compliance system architecture development and applicational penetration testing. Prior to joining velv, Jorge worked as a Software Security Architect at dayzero, where he was responsible for software and security architecture, GDPR/RGPD compliance system architecture development, and applicational penetration testing. He has also worked at Deloitte as a Software and Security Architect, where he implemented cybersecurity protocols, security architectures, and pen testings for several classified projects throughout Europe. Jorge was also responsible for training several public entities in countries such as Bulgaria, UK, Germany, and Switzerland. Jorge has a Licentiate degree in Computer Science from the Instituto Superior Técnico, where he graduated in 2010. He has a strong technical background and is proficient in several programming languages, including Java. He is also experienced in integration, web development, software engineering, infrastructure, testing, SQL, and Kafka.
